You know who you are?)

Barre Town Spring Run
Kids take off as adults look down to start their watches

Have you heard what CVR member Lance Parker is doing right now? He is attempting to run 888K in 10 days. It looks on the course map like every 27 mile figure 8 includes about 4500 ft of vertical. Last I knew he was in the lead. Below….a pleasant start to Day 2 and Kelly Hadiaris accompanies him in some different weather. I’m pretty sure Fabienne Pattison did some pacing too. I think you still have time to register for the 8K, the marathon, the 88K or the 100 Miler which start Friday-Sat if you want to be there for the finish! To register or track Lance check out the Infinitus.

Happy CVR Birthdays!
Happy Birthday this week to: Siobhan Padgett, Gus Kaeding, Sten Kaeding, Todd Taska, Trevor Patterson, Gregory Gerdel (NEW AG!), Kim Kendall, Rowan McMullan, Loren Searles and since this is early, Re-Happy Birthday to Mark Howard, Jennifer Miller-Arsenault, Sargent Burns and Gary Kessler whose birthdays are still coming right up.

Can we recruit some of these folks for the Tuesday Fun Runs????

FUN RUN is happening every Tuesday at 5:30. Our first week saw a fairly good contingent, even a few out of staters, then last week the weather declined and it was not a great showing. This Tuesday is the first day of a much awaited change in our weather pattern. I’m sure it is time! We can’t have March weather all summer on Tuesdays, can we? So get your friends and come on out to join the group!

The next CVR meeting reminder! Monday May 15 (that’s tomorrow, or maybe today if you aren’t reading late this evening) at the home of Dick and Sandy Ferno at 47 Ferno Rd in WIlliamstown. Directions are on the website. Per usual, pot luck at 6, meeting at 6:30.

Happy CVR Birthdays!

Happy Birthday this week to: Casarah Acosta, Anika Leahy, Meredith Naughton, Tim Noonan, Mark Howard, Jennifer Miller-Arsenault, Sargent Burns, and Gary Kessler

Well, nobody broke the 2 hour marathon barrier in Italy last weekend, but Kipchoge did get close. Nothing like a little drafting and a dead flat course with a pace car to take a few seconds off. I doubt anybody will hit his 4:36 pace for the timed mile at the Wednesday Speed workout this week, but who knows?

From Steve Hill:

Weds. is timed mile night.
come warmed up and stretched if you need it.
at 6ish we’ll do a couple of laps of fartlek.
introductions
the workout will be the timed mile.
followed by some recovery and a timed 800 meters (or two laps).
followed by some recovery and a timed 400 meters.
cool down together.
It will be sort of like a track meet where everyone runs all the events.

**Note from your president/resident PT: this workout is not recommended if you are racing the Corporate Cup Thursday. Otherwise, Everyone is Welcome! Even spectators.

Happy CVR Birthdays!

Happy Birthday this week to: Amber Markham, Pat Driscoll, Delanee Hill, and Pam Erickson (new AG!)

The next CVR meeting is May 15. Thank you to those who volunteered to host. I did decline Norm Robinson’s generous offer–Not sure he would have hosted us all in Nashville for an overnight. We’ve decided on the home of Dick and Sandy Ferno at 47 Ferno Rd in WIlliamstown. Directions are on the website. Per usual, pot luck at 6, meeting at 6:30. Read the Annual Meeting Minutes on-line since our next newsletter will be after the meeting instead of just before.
