Happy CVR Birthdays!

Happy Birthday this week to: Kaitlyn Farnham, Ron Ridlon, Justin Kenney, Robert Mercier, Suzanne Burgos, Anna Berg, Bob Emmons, Bob Patterson
DON’T FORGET!!!!
CVR Annual Meeting… March 26th at Four Corners School House in East Montpelier. That is this Sunday! Chi Running instructor Sarah Richardson will do an introductory Chi Running clinic prior to the meeting at 3:30. The pot luck will be at 5 and the business meeting starts at 5:30. There are no kitchen facilities, but there is electricity and water. Unfortunately our agreement prohibits alcohol on site.
Besides the usual procedural stuff and deciding on the donation budget for the year, I would like to talk about ways to build up Tuesday Fun Runs, forming a training group for Leafpeepers registrants and maybe some sort of special CVR event like the Sub Ultimate Runner (read Norm’s account in the newsletter). If you have any fun ideas to add, let me know before Sunday! Would you like to be an officer? All positions get elected or appointed at this meeting and we always are happy to elect new volunteers. Let me know if I can help nominate you.
Directions: From Montpelier if low mud: Go up Main St. toward County Rd. Bear R at Center Rd. After the pavement ends, bear R onto Dodge Rd. In 1.5 miles, the Four Corners Schoolhouse is on your R at the triangle between Vincent Flats, Dodge and Snow Hill.
From south or east or if deep mud: Take Route 2 or 14 to their jct in East Montpelier. Just past Dudley’s Store, before 2 and 14 split at the traffic light, turn L up Quaker Hill Rd toward East Montpelier Elementary School. At the end of the pavement, go straight and the schoolhouse is immediately on your L in the triangle.

OK, now it is officially unofficial Fun Run season! Tuesdays at 5:30 at the bike path for any who wish to show. No rules, no timing, but a great habit to start now.

The March 25 CVR Winter Long Run will be hosted by Rowly Brucken, Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at his home at 252 Central Street in Northfield. Rowly always picks a “fun” route for the group. Contact Rowly rbrucken@norwich.edu for info or to let him know you are coming.

Here’s one reason to get to the speed workouts and keep racing….we (I mean some of you) might keep improving to age 50. As reported in the not-fake-news-Washington Post: Your Best Running Days May Still be Ahead of You.
