Happy CVR Birthdays!
Happy Birthday this week to: Ron Allen, Mai-Lis Ellerson, Embry Ericson, Anya Carlson!

Lots of CVR happenings coming right up! I don’t want you to miss them, so I’m saving the pictures for last.–keep reading.
So in chronologic order–Sunday, Monday, Tuesday…..

1. CVR’s first race of the season, the 21st Annual CVR Mutt Strutt is on Sunday, April 30! Race day sign up still available and you don’t even have to have a dog (but probably no awards for dogless runners).

2. CVR Fun Run Green Up with Mack Gardner-Morse–changed to Monday:
Green Up Day is Saturday May 6th, but CVR will green up our Fun Run course on Monday May 1st at 5:30 p.m. Families with children can help green up along the bike path in Montpelier. Older kids and adults can help green up the rest of our 2.5 mile route. Mack will bring green up bags, nitrile gloves and a pickup truck for collecting the bags. Meet at the back of the Department of Labor parking lot at the start of the Fun Run course from ~5:15 p.m. until ~5:45 p.m. Call Mack with questions and to let him know you will be there: 223-5738 (home) or email Many hands make light work!

3. Fun Runs start Tuesday May 2. Be ready to run 1, 2, 4 or 6 miles at 5:30 pm at the Montpelier Bike Path. We’re looking for a resurgence of fun run this year. Sandy Colvin has posted signs and can give you some copies to post around town. It’s a great way to get people into CVR and motivated to run together each week.

4. With the start of the season, it is already time for the next CVR meeting May 15. It crept up on me, so I haven’t gotten a place commitment. Stay tuned next week for the meeting site, but save the date (and email me if you would just love to host)! Per usual, pot luck at 6, meeting at 6:30. Read the Annual Meeting Minutes on-line since our next newsletter will be after the meeting instead of just before.

The Saturday morning Winter Run season is over. According to organizer Jeff Prescott, a new record was set for average participation numbers. Maybe we’ll get a fun story about the season in the next CVR Newsletter which will be out the end of May.
Speaking of which….. Deadline for CVR Newsletter submissions is May 22. Summer Race Directors will promote their races and you can expect results and stories on the Mutt Strutt and Barre Town Spring Run. Please send any fun reports to Bob Howe

We are down to 39 non-renewed members from last week’s 48. Good job renewers! For the rest of you, if you want to check on your expiration date, here is a Membership List (as of a week ago, not updated for the newly renewed). The expired folks are on the first page, the rest of you folks who are on top of it are on the following pages. Of course, if you see an error, let us know…not me though, contact our membership director: Allie Nerenberg.

OK, now some fun photos submitted over the last week….smiling faces galore!
