Well, nobody broke the 2 hour marathon barrier in Italy last weekend, but Kipchoge did get close. Nothing like a little drafting and a dead flat course with a pace car to take a few seconds off. I doubt anybody will hit his 4:36 pace for the timed mile at the Wednesday Speed workout this week, but who knows?

Weds. is timed mile night.
come warmed up and stretched if you need it.
at 6ish we’ll do a couple of laps of fartlek.
the workout will be the timed mile.
followed by some recovery and a timed 800 meters (or two laps).
followed by some recovery and a timed 400 meters.
cool down together.
It will be sort of like a track meet where everyone runs all the events.
