Sodom Pond 4 Miler
Leafpeepers signup deadlines!

Hi All,

I thought I sent this out yesterday, but it looks like it didn’t go. Sorry for such a late notice about Sodom Pond, etc. unless it actually was sent and then sorry if you got it twice. Good old technology!

Sodom Pond 4 Miler this Wed Sept 14 at 6 pm. Tim Noonan could use a few more volunteers if you want to come and join the fun without racing. Email Tim to volunteer. Steve Hill reports that the Wednesday Track workout is cancelled this week so all the speedsters can come to run Sodom Pond. As in prior years, Eric and Donna are putting on a free pasta supper after the race. Donations of salad or desserts are accepted (but definitely not expected) to round out the pasta and bread we provide.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Hi All,
We are nearing our signature event, the Leafpeepers Half Marathon and 5K on October 2. Proceeds from Leafpeepers funds most of CVR’s activities and donations throughout each year. To make this race a success, we need you to come and volunteer, race or possibly do both! June reports that many volunteers from previous years have been unable to commit this year, so everyone who can volunteer needs to contact June and let her know you will be there. She can work with you to find the best assignment to fit your schedule that day. June’s email is : jaburr@gmavt.net
Remember that to be included in the final tally of the CVR/ORS race series, you need to volunteer at at least one CVR event, so this is your big chance to get it done!

Northfield 5K and 1 Mile this Saturday!

summit_2016
Perfect summit day for Sandy Colvin and Gail Pelkey
(with not yet CVR member Chuck Schwartz)
Hi All,

The CVR/ORS series continues with the Northfield Savings Bank 5K on Sept 3. The 1 mile is at 9:30, the 5K at 10:30. Rowly tells me he has enough volunteers, so all of you can participate. I think a Saturday morning 5K is great because you can get your race in and then play or work as hard as you want the rest of the long weekend without worrying about how it will affect your race. Bring your friends and neighbors to help Northfield celebrate 5 years of recovery from Irene.
