CVR Meeting in Craftsbury on Monday the 12th

Our first meeting in Craftsbury! It will be more fun than business, as there will be a run before, cooling swim after the run and then a cookout.  The business part will be brief, and we will have a short talk about the upcoming new race in the CVR/ORO Race Series, the Genny Tenny 10 Miler. Race Director Heidi Caldwell will talk about the race and maybe some about the Craftsbury running program.  She is the director of the program and recent co-winner of the Mt. Washington Road Race.  The meeting will be at Jim and Barb Flint’s house in Craftsbury.  The cookout/potluck starts at 6pm; the run at 4:30pm.  If you know you are coming to the run, it would good (but not required) to let Jim Flint know at

Driving Directions from Jim:
We live at 124 South Craftsbury Road, on the northwest corner of Cemetery Road beside the Craftsbury General Store. We share a driveway with the General Store. There are two stores in Craftsbury Village. The General Store is on the south end of the Village.

Carpooling is very much encouraged. We have room for four cars to park in front of our garage. Others can park in Craftsbury Village along South Craftsbury Road.

For people coming from the Montpelier area, take Rt 14 north from Hardwick. Turn right at the north end of Lake Eligo to go to Craftsbury Village.

For people coming through Waterbury, take Rt. 100 north to Morrisville, then Rt.15 west. Turn left on the North Wolcott Rd and follow it to Rt. 14. Turn right on Rt 14 and go two miles. Turn left on Cemetery Road and go one mile to Craftsbury Village.

Newsletter Deadline

The deadline is today, so send your contributions ASAP to Maryke Gillis.

Note that the newsletter will be coming out shortly after the meeting (the week of the 12th), so look forward to that.
