| President’s NoteIt was nice to see so many CVR members at the GMAA Sap Run on March 28. The Sap Run reminds me of races in the 1980’s when CVR would regularly participate in GMAA races and GMAA likewise would support CVR races in large numbers. The interchange provided a fun competitive and social opportunity to catch up with friends. This was a time when Vermont did not have a lot of races and we welcomed the ability to get together. Races have multiplied since the 80’s which is a positive development but it is nice to still have races like the Sap Run where we can count on seeing many runners from both CVR and GMAA.I have one other thought on the Sap Run to pass on. Donna Smyers, Dot Helling and I car-pooled together to the race. It was enjoyable to catch up with Donna and Dot, have lively discussions, and expend less fuel. It would be nice if we get in the practice of car-pooling more regularly to races.- Tim Noonan Newsletter Highlights and Contents: April 5 – April 18Race Updates and Volunteer NeedsCVR at the GMAA Sap RunFun Run – at Bear Naked Growler through end of AprilCVR BirthdaysRemembering Doug JonesOther News, Opportunities, and ClassifiedsMember benefit highlight |
