Harry Corrow Freedom Run, July 4th, 2025 – We Celebrate Freedom – Freedom from the tyrannous Brits. Freedom from asphalt, Freedom to choose your distance, and Freedom of Spirit. We’ve expanded Freedom by adding a half marathon (13.1 mile) distance to our 10 Mile, 10K, 5K, and 2 Mile options. We start at Prouty Beach, run and walk up the Bluffside Farm Trail, then on the Newport-Derby Bike Path and the Memphremagog Trails. Followed by watermelon and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream at Prouty. The run is held in conjunction with Newport City’s Fourth of July Celebration in Gardner Park in the afternoon and evening. Supporting the National Alliance on Mental Illness Vermont and its suicide prevention efforts.
