News and Notes June 28, 2026
President’s Note: It seems to me there are more races on Independence Day in the United States than on any other time during the year. Three races in our area immediately come to mind that will have substantial CVR participation by members of all ages. The Montpelier One Mile Race put on by Onion River Outdoors on July 3rd is a highlight of Montpelier’s celebration. GMAA’s 44th Clarence DeMar 5k in South Hero is on the morning of July 4th. So too is the Red, White and Blue 10K and 5K in Lebanon. Each of these presents a healthy and fun way to observe the 250th anniversary of our country’s independence!- Tim

All races will start right at 5:30PM from the Outdoor Center meadow at 800 Trapp Hill Rd.
