Greetings from an internet challenged Adamant,
Our internet is wonky in Adamant so I’m elsewhere in Vermont and getting this out early.
A couple of important things.
1. The Sodom Pond race is this Wednesday (9/20). A real nice 4 mile run. The roads are in good shape.
2. Our biggest race, Leaf Peepers, is coming up. Will is in need of volunteers! Please reach out to help.
3. The race committee is getting together to set up our race schedule for next year. This includes setting up the race series. With the race series, the Upper Valley Runners have approached us about being part of our series. Please let me know your thoughts on this. We already do it with GMAA. The idea behind it is to get people to experience events run by other clubs. We have a number of CVR members who have run events put on by the Upper Valley Runners (myself included).
The CVR Apparel Store is OPEN from now until Sept 30 for orders! The problem with a shipping charge has been fixed, so you should be good to go!
This is your 1st chance since 2019 to get new CVR T-Shirts, singlets, and sweatshirts. New for 2023 you can order CVR jackets, vests and running caps for more ways to show your CVR spirit while staying warm!
Items ordered will be delivered to Richarda Ericson in Montpelier in mid October. We will arrange distribution and pick-up procedures at that time.
This is a limited time order period, so plan ahead for all your CVR clothing needs. Remember that CVR clothing is great for gifts!

Fun Run
Bob Murphy wrote me that the FEMA encampment has left the Dept of Labor parking lot! Fun Runs can now resume their normal starting point! Weather was nice tonight! These are a fun & casual way to get in a few miles and make some new friends & connections.
Other runs
The Long Trail Running Club has Thursday evening runs in Chittenden County, starting and finishing at a brew pub. It’s a fun group, and they usually find good routes. Routes are 4-6 miles long; the group stops from time to time to wait for the caboose to catch up; there’s also often a group that walks. Check out the group at www.meetup.com/longtrailrunning

Renewing with a multi-year membership means fewer year-end renewals for you and less administration for the club.
Not sure when your membership is due for renewal?

2023 FOOTPRINTS TRAIL RUN

We invite all trail runners to join us for the Footprints Trail Run. We’ll start the day off with a trail race, winding from the Outdoor Center through singletrack, ski trails and dirt roads up to Craftsbury Common on either a 5 or 10-mile course
Sodom Pond 4 Miler
The Sodom Pond 4 Miler is scheduled for September 20th. Similar to Berlin Pond but a mile shorter! A great little race here in Adamant.
Leaf Peepers
Will Robens reports that registration for Leaf Peepers is now open! October 1st!
