Updated Details and Logistics for Sunday’s Party!

CVR’s 45th Birthday Party Sunday, August 17, 2025, starting at 1pm (11:00 a.m. for the Elmore Mountain hike/run) at Elmore State Park 856 Route 12, Elmore, VT 05661 (Google Maps link here) Family friendly event! All details below. Come anytime during the party, and stay as long as you like! Updated! 11:00 a.m. – Elmore Mountain Run/Hike! If you’d like to come early and hike/run up Elmore Mountain before the festivities, meet at the parking lot at 11:00 a.m. 1-3pm – Fun and Games! Swimming, Kayaking, paddleboats available at the beach, and yard/lawn games at the Pavilion (feel free to bring your own, see sign-up link below!) 3-4:30pm – Cookout at the Pavilion! Eat, drink, be merry! 4:30pm – ?? More fun and games, CVR Trivia contest, and some surprises (relays? You’ll have to attend to find out!) Other details:CVR will provide burgers (vegetarian option to be offered) and burger fixings, as well as snacks, watermelon, and non-alcoholic beverages. Feel free to bring any additional snacks, food, or beverages you or your family would enjoy. Alcoholic beverages are allowed, so if you would like to enjoy some, please BYO! Bring any lawn games you may want to share, or your water sport equipment of choice. Updated! Don’t forget your swimsuits and sunscreen. We are also in need of grilling utensils like tongs and metal spatulas; if you have some, please bring to share. If you’re inclined to mind one of the grills for a shift during the party, we are happy to have a few volunteers! You can still attend even if you didn’t RSVP on the sign-up sheet here – It’s ok! However, if you decide to come last minute, double check on the sheet what others are bringing! Not required, just recommended. There are three options: Show your Green Mountain Passport https://www.vtstateparks.com/fees (available for $2 for life for anyone 62+) if you have one. If you don’t, they are very easy to get, follow the link above, OR Show your VT State Park Season pass, OR If you have neither of the above, that’s ok. Parking is still covered by CVR – Just tell the attendant you are here with CVR, and they’ll mark you in their tally. Go ahead and park in the day use parking lot or wherever you can find parking.
