Half way through the coldest month of the year and Spring like temperatures are here, especially last Saturday for our events. Let’s get right into them!
Millstone Madness Snowshoe Race
It appeared to be a great Spring day for CVR’s first ever live snowshoe race! Thank you race director Jackie Jancaitis for bringing this to us. There were 25 participants who slushed through about 3 miles of trails in the event on Millstone Trails. Everyone had a lot of fun. Here are the overall results. This will certainly become an annual event!

Winter Group Runs
We had our first warm run of the year and were expecting a large turnout for the Berlin Pond run. Maybe unexpectedly too warm so we had a smaller crowd who enjoyed distances of 6-12 miles. We had two new members join the run with us so that was a success as well. This week’s location is unknown to me at this time so stay tuned for the weekly blast to those on the email list for the event. For those that want to be included in the distribution please reply to this email and ask me to include you.
Membership Renewal
Our membership has grown to 352 members at this moment! Our membership coordinator Graham Sherriff wanted me to include this message in the news and notes this week. Looking at our database it looks like there are 137 members whose membership will expire on 3/31. So please renew your membership now!
Club memberships expire on March 31. Spring forward by renewing your membership online or with the printable form, both at: https://cvrunners.org/join-cvr/
Multi-year memberships are encouraged! These will spare you year-on-year renewals.

CVR Annual Meeting
I sent a email blast yesterday with details of our upcoming annual meeting. It is scheduled for Sunday, March 27th at 4:00 PM. We will try to keep the meeting to an hour but have important business to discuss and new officers to elect. It is a hybrid meeting, you can join virtually or in person. Ann Bushey has offered to host those that want to meet live and can accommodate 12-14 members. If you haven’t already please do the 2 question survey to let me know if you plan on attending the meeting and whether you will be doing it live or virtually. Thanks!

Race Directors Meeting

Runderacheivers in Northfield (note a day change)
Runderachievers is a social run group that meets in front of Good Measure Brewing Co every Thursday at 5:30. (17 East St, Northfield, VT 05663)
All ages, and abilities are welcome. After a short run(or walk) we enjoy special pricing of their draft craft beers.
Anyone wishing to enter the brewery must show proof of vaccination.
